Baakenhafen Area 99
On the construction site 99 in Hamburg's HafenCity, an ensemble of subsidized housing and commercial properties is being built. blauraum is planning the northern part of the development with 67 apartments for the client SAGA. The aim is to create affordable living space with an attractive design directly on the river Elbe.
The predominant facade material is light clinker and plaster. This variation is emphasised by the combination of smooth and vertically structured surfaces in variing sizes. The different rhythms are reinforced both by slight shades of colour and by the materiality of the surfaces.
