A new building with subsidized apartments will be built in the eastern part of Fürth in Bavaria. Four to five-storey residential buildings from different eras form the surroundings, with Gründerzeit buildings being the most characteristic.
blauraum designed an ensemble with two buildings - Town House and Garden House. The Town House closes the unfinished block structure and provides for a representative public outward appearance. The Garden House differentiates the backyard into the communicative, spacious Neighbourhood Courtyard and the green, quiet Garden Courtyard.
Arcade structures with integrated terraces face the courtyard and form a perfect symbiosis between private outdoor space and access to the apartments. The housing units are based on a clear design grid. This allows for a flexible arrangement of modular 2- to 4-bedroom apartments.
