The company headquarters with its 14-story office tower is the third high point in the ensemble in Freiham's new center. The staggering of the structure, developed from the design logic, gives it an unmistakable appearance: the high-rise building becomes a brand, a striking element in the urban fabric.
The office tower encloses the station square. Under the arcades, the main entrance and the first side entrance are located on two levels, as well as the connection to the platform via ramp. The elevation of the arcades towards Mahatma-Gandhi-Platz emphasizes the main entrance. Side entrances set slightly inwards divide the first floor zone on Bodenseestraße.
Craftsmanship plays an important role in the choice of construction as well as in the materiality. The building is planned as a wooden hybrid construction, which is also reflected in the staggered building cubature. If the building appears from the outside in a dress of differently treated steel sheets - a homage to the theme of tools - wood visibly shapes the interior of the house.
The façade features a variety of sheet steel surfaces. Thus the external surfaces of the Facade grids clad with highly polished sheets, while the recessed parapet strips show a vivid picture of hot-dip galvanized steel surfaces. Hot-dip galvanized steel is durable, reusable, repairable and recyclable, making it a perfect material for sustainable recycling management and circular construction
