The district school Bergedorf, a pavilion ensemble from the 1970s, has received a new building: the "House of Culture". The compact building planned by blauraum Architects has three floors for different age groups, differentiation zones and a central atrium. The distinctive shape of the building highlights the ground floor, which is dedicated to music and art. The shift of the upper floors creates a protected entrance area on one side and gives room for an outside courtyard on the other, in which the pupils look after a small animal zoo. The color scheme varies inside the building as well as on the entrance facade, blending from green to blue.
